Director of Marketing wants me to write some conversation snippets for a chatbot, but I think those things drive potential clients away. Trying to figure out if I should tell him or not

Did you have a conversation with him about why he thinks the snippets are important? I think you can easily voice your opinion in a polite way during that conversation - say that you hear him, but you were thinking about x, y, z. Then you can see what he says.

I think it's okay to respectfully voice your opinion, but it's important to remember that he has the final say.

I believe part of our work is letting our supervisors know when we're facing a potential problem. But remember marketing is about trying over and over again. Good luck!

I would ask what made him decide to implement a chatbot in the first place and go from there.

There’s one white, female associate on my floor who I’m friendly with, however, whenever she talks to me she always finds a way to bring up race/diversity. Not in a bad way, it’s mostly just complaining about how poor the diversity is at our firm or bringing up her diversity-related law school extracurriculars. I’ve seen & heard her interact with (white) associates and partners a million times, even in convos complaining about firm issues, without ever raising these topics. Justifiably annoyed?

Does anyone have a boss or leader that nitpicks at everything you do, and also doesn’t recognize your work? Do they tend to have favorites? I started at this company fairly recently, as well as some members of my team. None of us has even been in the company for 4 months yet and we all want to leave because of our leadership team. I’m hesitant to look elsewhere since it “shows that I don’t stay at the company long,” but my goodness we are going insane!

Ok this one’s for my fellow adhd’ers and auties: are we pro or against disclosing? Feels like it’d help my partners understand why I’m so good at certain things and absolute shite at others, rather than just thinking I’m lazy. But also, disclosure = risk of stigma. Where do people fall? For the seniors/counsel/partners, would you want your associates to disclose something like this or is it just irrelevant/going to make you think they’re just a problem for you even if you like their work?

Paraphrasing a partner during practice group call:

Not surprised looters went for shoe stores but Barnes and Noble was untouched... they can’t read.

I was floored by this (ignoring that maybe looters were interested in resale value, perhaps). Such clear racism. None of the other partners even attempted to call this partner out. Call went silent for moment before another partner changed subject. Nobody in practice group AA.

Ashamed, I didn’t speak. Concerned for my employment in these tkmes

I have had 2 rounds of interviews so far 1 with the recruiter, 1 with the VP of the department (and who I would be reporting to). I received a call this afternoon that I have 2 more interviews with 2 more leaders within the department. At what point should salary be discussed or should I reach out to the recruiter and ask now? This company would be my D R E A M company to work for and I have been trying for years to get my foot in the door. I don’t want to blow it by bringing this up too soon.
