Thank you. I needed to hear this today. It's been 8 years, and I still feel like an imposter. Thank you.
Same here love! Year 9 ready or not here we come!
You are doing a GREAT JOB! You arrived at the end of a Crazy Year! Keep your chin up!
As did you my friend! Keep trying and striving!
I like to think as imposter syndrome as the polar opposite of arrogance. Instead of having an overinflated ego and thinking that you're better than what your skills are, you doubt yourself despite how qualified you are. Neither is ideal, but I know which side I'd rather tend towards. Feeling like an imposter just means you are self-critical and have the capacity to keep improving to make up where you think you are lacking.
It is so difficult in this profession where 1st year teachers are surrounded by 20 year veterans. Someone always knows more than you, a better way to do something or feels superior so they treat you poorly. It makes it very easy to always feel like you don't belong.
Thank you for posting this. I think I needed it really bad. It has been a rough week at school
You did it though! You came out the other side. I hope this weekend you found the peace and renewal needed to take make it through this next week.
I suffer from imposter syndrome as well so this is something I really needed to hear. Thank you for this reminder today.
