That would not fly in my company. Someone would call the hotline and the company would hold people accountable.
I’m saying even if they were forced to invite women, the group then acts different. Soon after I came here, they all went in the lunch room when we ordered Chinese. They said, “you can’t be in here.” I thought they were joking, so I plopped down with them.
They said nothing. Every once in a while, one of them would make a soft comment that sounded like a Sunday School prayer request. After I left, I could hear them chatting and cutting up 🤷🏼♀️
I have a similar thing going on at my company, They go out to lunch daily and call it guy's lunch hour (tag lined?). Includes the bosses of each department, a couple of mid-level too. They don't even recognize that it's so toxic. The few women employees in our office occasionally go out to lunch together, but most often we will order in and work through lunch. No idea how to stop this behavior.
Thank you! I knew I wasn’t the only one, and same. Not really sure how to deal. And they either don’t know it’s toxic or really just don’t care, I think.
Just say thanks for the invite guys, I’d love to join. What time and place again? Haha
That's weird sorry that you have to go thru that
