What?? I've never tipped once. Although I take black cars to and from the airport every week and I always feel like they are expecting something... I guess most of us can probably expense tips to the client
I disagree. It's like not billing what you work. You are setting a bad precedent that has impacts beyond yourselves. Now that uber driver is going to expect others tip them too... I like uber because it took the money exchange out of the equation.
Fuck that. Not everything needs to be tipped.
I thought the purpose of Uber was not to have to tip.
Until Uber allows you to tip within the app, this isn't a discussion. I don't carry cash.
Hell no. I love that uber doesn't give the option to do so through the app. To hell with tipping culture
Don't tip Uber, unless you are going a short distance. Otherwise, It's factored into your total.
Fuck this EY1 guy. Don't fucking tip. It's a corrupt practice in general and it's bad enough that it exists in so many other places on society. One of the reasons I love Uber is that the entire pricing scheme is transparent for all parties. Fuck tipping.
Also, I don't understand the concern with getting a 5 star rating from the driver. I'm not a douche, so despite not tipping, I would expect to at least receive a 'normal' rating. How can we see our rating? Why should I care?
Why would you tip? It's included in the price. I'm getting sick of tipping people for simply doing their jobs.
I fucking hate the tipping culture. In a few years we'll be tipping just to walk down the street. To hell with it all.
I love subsidizing private companies to get 0 ROI, sign me up!
Can we pose this question to the presidential candidates?
If uber drivers want tips, they can switch to Lyft or drive a cab. They know the consequences of driving uber and are free to switch to Lyft whenever they want.
Yeah E1, GFY!!!
Yea, it's expected because of this terrible precedent... the best way to stop the expectation is to stop tipping
I always tip. Usually around $5-10. I think it's increasingly becoming the norm and expected from drivers and it definitely affects your rating.
Love your name @ernstandhung
