For communication, nothing beats practice. Books will get you the theory and improve your vocabulary (by the way is suggest just reading in general for that)but you need lots and lots of practice.
Join toastmasters and or record yourself talking and/or practice with friends. That’s the best way.
Good luck!
Heavy artillery: 48 Laws of Power. Be careful, politics is a dangerous game.
Others you might consider are Cialdini’s books, Influence and Pre-suasion, but they are a bit more applicable to marketing/advertising/sales, although certainly have applications in the world of politics and client relationship building.

One key piece of advice I’ve learned is: it’s less important to be right than it is to keep the peace. If your team lead or someone above you messes up, doesn’t want to admit it, and blames you, it’s better to just say “sorry, won’t happen again. Here’s what I was thinking. I didn’t think about X. Will defer to you next time” or something like that. You can always bring it up with high level people at another point, but it’s the best way to politically keep yourself in a strong position
