Can somebody sum up the Ralph Watson lawsuits please? Four women accused him of inappropriate behavior. He was fired for it. And now he’s suing CP+B AND the four accusers? Is that correct? Yikes.

Wieden ny layoffs: what happened?

I feel so lost in my career. I have three years of B4 experience (1 year audit, 2 years risk compliance) and I absolutely hate what I do. I’m a high performer yet I have zero motivation. I don’t see myself becoming partner & I also dont see myself being a controller/CFO in industry. I feel like I made the wrong choice but accounting is all I know. Anyone else go thru this? What type of role/industry did you pivot to?

Can you one whose worked at multiple firms gove insight on which ones are/were better in terms of diversity, compensation, and culture?

Can I switch jobs in May if I got the H1B lottery in April?

Anyone have insight into revenue accounting? I’m interviewing for a sr revenue accountant position and wondering if it’ll be too pigeonholed. I also have zero background in this type of accounting so it would be completely new to me, but the hiring manager didn’t seem to mind that I don’t have any experience in this area. I’m fed up with the hours and lack of support in public and want to leave before next busy season for context.

How much lower is compensation in middle market firms vs big 4? (In advisory/FDD specifically)

If I’m planning on applying round 2 (due Jan 5), what is the latest possible date I can take the GRE? Online says it takes 10-15 days to send official reports, but I’m assuming that’s cause of the essay scoring (and your quant/verbal score immediately shows up after the test). Does that mean I need to take it by Dec 20 at the latest? Or could I hypothetically wait until Jan 4?

Working with 2 people who are so called Digital Specialist Engineers in my project.I am a TA,5 YOE mentoring them and assigning work to them.My package is 6LPA and theirs is 6.5 LPA..This is the reality of Infosys..Man this shucks really hard...I know switching will increase my package, but can't digest this fact..What is Infosys doing for its loyal employees??Infosys

Anyone made the jump from one big 4 firm to another and if so were you required to divulge the firm you were leave for? Also were you given the opportunity to say goodbye to your colleges? From my understanding as soon as you let your performance manager know you're escorted out of the building.

Anyone familiar with Addepar? I am interviewing with them at the moment. The company seems like it has potential. Reading mixed reviews from employees via glass door. They give decent stock options but salary isn't that great. Anyone with insight on the company or ipo expectations.

Need some help landing a more product focused role such as product owner/product manager. I don’t have tech credentials but do have two university degrees and also am a certified product owner with Scrum Alliance. I am getting some product experience with my current job but my job title is not reflective of that. Any insight on how I can get companies to actually consider me when I submit my resume?

Posting this here because it feels like a safer space than the main bowl. I’m considering writing a book of fables for adults. Each with a life lesson - adventure, magic, storytelling, etc.

Need Desi Advice: I am investing money in one of my friends business and giving him $25K to expand his restaurant. He said he will give me back $2500 (every month) for the next 24 months. So, I basically will get my initial amount in 10 months and everything after it is profit. Just for safety, he will also be giving me 10 checks of $2500 each which I can use every month to get (at least) my principal amount back. I am wondering is there anything else that I should be doing… continued

Just need to vent. MIL came over for dinner tonight. Our youngest was fussing so she put her up. She wouldn't stop crying so I went up there...well no wonder, you have her light on! So I turn it off and play it off as a let's see if this will help. She calmed down and all was well. Then, she started fussing again so MIL went back up...and turned the light on. Didn't take her out of the crib or anything, just turned the light on and patted her back. Turn the damn light off and keep it off.
