Very disturbed by what’s going on in the world and I do find it weird how no one is saying anything anymore about issues that have arisen globally. I noticed things used to be talked about especially during the pandemic but now it seems that everyone is desensitized and avoidant to reality. Do you think it would be beneficial to have spaces to discuss stuff global matters that also impact us at work or do you think it’s better that we focus on staying productive? I would appreciate discussion

Depending on the agency, they used to actually at least acknowledge world/societal issues. Now we just skate past it because leadership doesn’t have to pretend to care anymore. So many people are struggling and being let go recently, so all they care about now is numbers & output. I’d love if a space like that actually existed

there was for sure a culture of pretending. the efforts were awarded publicly with Cannes etc. but now esp with DEI no longer a priority, those spaces don’t exist anymore. We used to have calls where people could talk about things but I just feel like there’s too much to talk about and things have been normalized

I feel you on the numbers and output. Hate feeling like a machine.
