You absolutely don’t need to spend $1k on a coat lol, unless you care more about the brand than quality.
I’ve made through much colder climates either JCrew and Gap coats just fine.
Same. My go to work coat in NYC is a vintage winter white wool and cashmere blend I bought off EBay for $30. I pair with alpaca scarf and gloves and I am toasty as can be.
I personally really like Sentaler - for that price range, it's an option.
1k should work! Try Nordstrom Rack & Bloomingdale Outlet first.
For Max Mara? Do you think they’re warm enough for ~30 degree days?
I’m also looking for same. Is the Max Mara regular line noticeably better than their less expensive lines and worth the 2-3x in price?
Have you considered Fleurette? I tried some on at nordstrom and they felt warm but also stylishly cut, I think they have some cashmere blend
I also had an Anne Klein cashmere blend coat that I adored until I gained weight. Not sure it's well suited to below freezing but it worked well for 40 degrees and slightly colder if paired over a light warm sweater
I think I wrote this somewhere else but I get my winter coat from rent the runway. They’re always good quality and then I send them back at the end of the season
I bought a max mara wool coat and it’s absolutely the best purchase ever. so warm and stylish and I think it was 1.5k?
