We talk a lot about red flags, but good workplaces have tells too. Supportive leadership makes a huge difference. What's a green flag you look for?

Consistency is a huge one for me. Not feeling like management picks favorites and makes us all compete with each other for respect and decency in the workplace.

Totally agree with this. Consistency from management makes such a big difference. When everyone is treated the same and there’s no favoritism, it creates a much healthier environment and people can actually focus on doing their job instead of worrying about office politics. It really sets the tone for the whole workplace.

I look for great leadership as well and a positive work culture. I’ve had my share of toxic work environment spaces where I didn’t feel comfortable to work. Now that I am in a better work environment, I need positivity around me to be able to excel in my field.

I can relate to that. A positive environment and supportive leadership really make a difference. When you feel comfortable and supported at work, it’s so much easier to stay motivated and do your best. Toxic environments can drain you quickly, so finding that positivity is definitely a big green flag. 😊

Hi Fishes,
I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ. But they told that they can send the revised offer letter 3 weeks before the joining date.
Is this normal process? Has anyone gone through similar experience?

Hi,
CCTC including all benefits is 16.57 with 8.3 YOE, primarily focused on Manual Testing.
Is it worth looking for another opportunity?
I am afraid after seeing layoffs news of EPAM, Publicis Sapient & most of the other companies calling employees in the office.
I love my WFH in PwC India & base location of Kolkata. & the best thing is stability in PwC India, they never lay off!!

The teacher shortage is a national crisis (one that was foretold decades ago). In other industries, when there is an employee shortage for a specific field, the company would increase the salary and benefits for that position because of the law of supply and demand. Why doesn't this work for education? Shouldn't teachers be paid more because we are in short supply? Should certain subjects be paid more?

So, I truly enjoy wealth management, corporate and institutional solutions and being in a managerial position with 5+ years in this field and in a true management position. All the help, referrals and guidance would be much appreciated! Was at JPMC before but had left to get managerial experience. I miss JPMC!
