We were purchased by Liberty Mutual. I’m a claims adjuster and getting ready to move over to Liberty Mutual, I’ve heard horror stories about how appointments are scheduled for you for claims. Anybody know anything about this?

I just left Liberty. The expectations are not attainable, you’re over worked, their system is not user friendly and you will be micromanaged to the 3rd power! Polish your resume and start looking.

You have a crappy manager! This has not been my experience at all!! Can I ask what claims office you work out of? I know the culture is different at other offices.

run for the hills. Liberty is a toxic environment. everything is micromanaged. Team leaders, or as tye are called now, People Leaders, are powerless to change anything and don't want to hear it anymore. Most of them try to hide so they don't get calls/escalations. The field adjuster job has become undoable. everyone I talk to is looking for another job, myself included. In my entire career i have never worked in such a hostile and toxic environment

I wish there was a way we could form a union or organize. We need more employee protections. This is abuse.

the appointments referred to are the inspection appointments to view the damages on someones homeowners claim. Liberty contracted for a program that makes the appointments, tells you when to inspect, how long to be there, etc.

I’ve been here for 3 years. It’s horrible. We used to be able to reconfigure our day based on traffic, or to accommodate customers. Now we can’t. If you don’t lock claims at specific times, managers are all over you. Managers show up at your appointments. Management is driving out employees fast.

I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. However, I’ve been annoyed with their way of running the business and getting between me and my earnings far too long; and I received a lucrative offer to go in-house. I’m not looking forward to their reaction and feel bad about them having to take over my docket when everyone’s very busy. Any tips?

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.

I’m 26 weeks pregnant and trying to figure out my leave. I live in NJ and work at PwC, any fishes know the policy for NJ and PwC? The leave center has not been much help and I want to plan NOW not like 60 days before. I was told NJ gets two weeks before due date and PwC gives you two weeks as well.

I was fairly diligent last week, billed 60h, met all my deadlines and obtained positive feedback on my work. It was a lot harder than it sounds as I’m generally either late, screw up or get bad feedback. So big win. At the same time, it drained my body and brain to the point of not being able to work at all on Tuesday and spending the day watching TV. How do you build endurance and keep going when you feel limited? Ever think you’re just not made for this profession?
