Well, everything was going perfectly as far as chill Friday vibes go until I found out that a recruiter I had a screening phone call with did not advance me past the call. Now I'm full of self doubt and I just want today to be over. Obviously I didn't fit whatever box they imagined their candidate to fit into, but it still hurts. Do recruiters have specific things they're looking for on that quick 5 minute phone screen?

Trying to help my retired dad - When I google for what to do after retirement, only retirement planning related things shows up. My dad has been a workaholic and hasn’t developed many hobbies he could pursue. I was wondering how I could help him stay slightly occupied if not busy. Anyone else having trouble focusing today? Every time I have a long break and come back to the office I’m reminded how much I don’t like my current job. ID Associate and I have such a hard time concentrating even after a week off. I find it mind-numbing and unfulfilling. I’m never excited to come to work anymore for the past few months now. Just found out from a legal recruiter that I’m also way underpaid here. Hopeful I’ll get a job in a diff area of law or find another calling altogether.
