We're starting up a neurodiversity employee resource group and promoting the neurodiversity ally program in my geography. I'm leading the charge, and I would like some ideas from the group about what you think are good first step initiatives and communications both for neurodiverse individuals and for helping the general population to understand as well.

People with dogs: how did you get your dog used to city life? My dog is almost a year and half now (having lived the past ~5 months in the city) and he is terrified of the city. We used to live in the suburbs so much more quiet and low key. The cars going by, sudden sounds, bikes/scooters are a huge stressor, but more than anything it’s people - if he sees anyone walking or around him he panics and tries to flee. I can’t afford to send him to an expensive dog trainer and don’t know what to do :/

Partners: I’m a sr. associate managing multiple cases without a whole lot of oversight. A few of the cases I am managing are very large, very fast, and very contentious. I try to be as immersed in the details as I can, but can’t know everything. I rely on others to give me accurate and actionable facts. But every time I go into a meeting with a new client, they ignore everything I say. They just want to talk about their product. They don't seem interested in learning how to market it better.

Any recommendations for resources after an adult diagnosis? Aware of all the national organizations but figuring out how to find people who really specialize in ASD (rather than just also happen to treat it) and professionals to help develop the skill deficits is difficult. So many resources for children or adults who were diagnosed as children, but not newly diagnosed adults.
