What are the key skills to show on your resume from audit/public accounting to get interviewed/hired in industry? Hiring managers, what are reasons you wouldn’t hire a senior auditor that could be remedied on resume or in interview?

I’m a senior & very burnt out. I keep getting interviews but either not making it to last round or making to last round & not getting job offers.
I know the economy is trash, but any advice to get out of public is appreciated. I can’t do this job any longer.

I’ve seen a lot of recruiters recently trying to hire for advisory consulting firms that claim they do the work that Big 4 can’t because of independence issues. Does anyone think these types of firms are sustainable or will big 4 find a way around the independence restrictions and take this work back?
