What are your thoughts on today's job market? Unemployment is low but it doesn't feel that way to me. Does it to you?

I've been unemployed for 6 months, & it's my 1st time being unemployed in my adult life, when it wasn't my choice. I've been diligent, but I see the same jobs I did months ago online, so are they really hiring? Recruiters have also been saying jobs are drying up, but that doesn't align with low unemployment.

Anyone else feel the same? I'm curious about your experience.

Who do you consider to be the highest achieving big 4 person you know (no need to name them obvs)? what about them stands out to you?

Relocating to SF and office will be in downtown. Does Foster City sound like a good option to live? Maybe need to commute only a day or two to office. Thanks!

Context: We want to put earnest money on a house, I am still working on getting my real estate license. Can I put a friends name as the buyers agent and change it to my name Right before closing ? We are based in TX

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. For the interim, I’ve been looking for a remote opportunity where I can leverage my skills in marketing, sales, social media, and elsewhere for a decent sum. I have a social media presence which, in recent years, reached millions. There has to be something exciting I can do.

Do you ever get stoned before/during work? I had always steered clear during work hours but recently I broke my own rule and wound up writing what felt like some of my best work in months.

Base salary: 60k
Quarterly quota (per quarter): 107k
Quarterly bonus (per annum): 23k
130% Annual bonus = 11.5k
"23% commission on quota minus base": 37k (don't understand this)
"Proposed 23% commission on 150% quota minus base": 86.5k
Sales commission threshold per month: 22k
OTE: 122k
Cost/Sales: 28%

That base salary is lower than my previous base by a significant amount by 32.7%

I got hired as a BA, at an advisory firm. Im new to the industry and new to the role. I see that every BA is different in different companies. Right now I’m building out SOP’S for our different departments, as well working with clients guiding them through our pipeline.
