Hi all hope your well, I’m a junior early in my career, in the last year I’ve been working as contractor subcontracted as a professional services consultant for a Fintech firm where I’ve taken responsibilities in Project management and working as a part of the delivery team, as well as studying/holding a prince 2 foundation certificate. I’m seeking opportunities in business analysis, aside from just applying what are the best ways I can upskill myself to be proficient for such a role.

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

I miss music. Like actual bands with instruments and vocal ability. Feels like the music industry is so hollowed out that multi-member instrumental bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, and even Metallica are no longer able to take root.

There are a few talented individual singers (Adele) a lot of awful mumble rappers, but no actual bands that will stand the test of time. Before I get called a Boomer, the problems with the music industry for new artists are well documented.

Need help: my dad did an interview for US citizenship in May and he passed but they said they will do some ‘investigation’ and will hear back within 120 days. Its been more than that and we haven’t heard back. I got hired as a BA, at an advisory firm. Im new to the industry and new to the role. I see that every BA is different in different companies. Right now I’m building out SOP’S for our different departments, as well working with clients guiding them through our pipeline. I get to Analyze data every now and then to help make business decision, but there’s less emphasis on this. What tools or resources should I be utilizing to help myself grow and keep pushing.
