Hi María, you will first need to establish a NCARB record by creating an account.

I believe you’ll then need to submit all your translated university transcripts and diploma to them which they will verify to determine you’re elegible to apply (this process can take up to 45 days). If you are elegible, they will let you know the total architecture experience hours, supervised by a licensed architect of your country, that you will need to fulfill and how to submit them. Typically, they only accept hours from as far back as 6 months from the moment you submit them but they may have have different requirements for foreign architects.

Additionally, you will need to pay, take and pass all exam divisions which and pay any additional fees that keeping your record active may require.

You can find detailed info and steps here;

Hi all! What would you do with this indoor yucca? I never expected it to live in the first place, and now she’s 5 feet tall! The stems are getting gnarly and curving. Should I trim this plant, or get some wire to help it grow straighter? Maybe this is just how they grow 🤷🏻‍♀️

I am from architecture background and wud like if someone who could help me with a referral. As far as my capabilities are concerned, I hv personally loved teaching and managing projects cz I am able to connect with my team/students and get the job done. So it'll be great if someone would want to give me a chance for who I am personally and not just on paper

I’m curious to know if anyone has experience working part-time in architecture? I have been working for large international firms in NYC for the past 10 years. So I work all day every day. My evenings and often the weekends are all absorbed by work duties. Working part-time would allow me to find a better balance, and carve out space for side gigs and eventually start my own firm. Any recommendations?

Hi Designers,
Been working as an Assistant Technician for 3 years (2 years excluding pandemic) pay is £21k now £22 adjusted for inflation. I will be completing my Part 1 in architecture but also have a degree in Technology, should I find a different company after graduation or take roles offering £30-45k as an Architectural Technologist/Technician.

Hi everyone, I’m an architectural designer (from Europe) with 1.5 yrs experience. I’m working for a practice in San Francisco, full-time from the office, getting 25 an hour. It is so expensive to live here, I am struggling to make things work. Is this a normal salary for someone of my experience or should I ask for a raise? I don’t want to be greedy but it’s so expensive out here… Thank you 🌈
