What do y’all enjoy most about working in retail? I’ve been working retail for quite some time now and my favorite thing about working in retail is the look on a customer’s face when I help them find just the right thing.

Umm, I don’t know. I guess I enjoy knowing that I’m good at my job. My colleagues often turn to me to help them when they need it. Which is nice.

I like how laid back of a job it can be. That's not the case at all companies, of course. Right now I'm working for a small mom and pop kind of place and it's just so chill. I love it.

Yes, I agree with you. Most of my retail jobs have been very laid back and see to do. My day usually consists of managing several stores and ordering their inventory. It’s still a lot of work physically on my body but I don’t use a lot of mental work which I love.

Will I be overpaying, if I get a 2017 Lexus RX350 AWD with 49.5 K miles on it for 32K out of door from a dealership near me? This is my first time buying a used car and also anything outside of a Honda. All insights are appreciated.

NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. We came to a very one-sided provision and my sales VP stated “for this one, how can we just say ‘hell no’ ...nicely?” The other person on the call said we can replace the wording with just NFW (no f@$* way) and I said “I will have to add that to the defined terms section so it’s clear”

This might be philosophical but wanted to understand if we should get satisfied and be happy with what we have or keep striving for more?

Reason I am asking this is - I earn close to 1.5 lakhs every month and if someone had told me this during my college days I would have taken it eyes closed thinking this is more than enough. But today, I am not able to be satisfied and I don't want this to become an affliction so thought to share with others here and get to know the general sentiments.

Is it common to offer signing bonuses for product managers? I've only worked in small companies and I'm currently interviewing at a much larger company. I am expecting an offer this week, but the salary isn't quite where I want it to be. A signing bonus of 5 or 10k would make me feel so much better (obviously) but it would put me right where I want to be for salary this year. I'm taking a cut in salary to consider this new job but I like the company and they actually offer benefits
