Yeah, it's hard. I acknowledge it and explain that online reviews often reflect the experiences of people who felt strongly, sometimes after a negative event. I encourage candidates to look for patterns in the feedback, ask us direct questions about their concerns, and also consider their own interactions with our team throughout the interview process. Every company has areas to improve, but I believe in transparency and am happy to discuss any specific issues they notice.

this is a great approach
If I'm ever asked about that I just remind people of something everyone instinctively knows just from having been online. Reviews tend to be written by people who are angry or offended. If you have a good experience somewhere, chances are you're not going to take time to post something about it. But if you feel like you've been treated badly, you may want to broadcast that to the world.
