We as the armed forces of the United States have a research department, but the greatest advances at the armament level come from private sectors, this could not be something counterproductive because if they sell a product to us, what deprives them of selling it to other countries?

There are exclusivity agreements to only sell weapons to the United States army, anything else will result in a legal problem, I doubt that these companies want to enter that area.

I personally believe that in less than 20 years the armies will be a private issue, that is, as a nation, we are going to have to hire military services to take care of us, this is what has been shown since the birth of private contractors.

It is a latent fear, but most of these companies belong to arms companies that in turn are related to deputies and heads of state, I doubt that these same people are capable of betraying their own country.

These are things that have already happened, and that is why we have dedicated ourselves to purifying lists so that this does not happen so that you can become a manufacturer of weapons technology, there are many permits involved, so not everyone can do it.

Excellent question, but the answer is very simple, we are the country that buys the most weapons, we are the ones that seek to innovate the most, and most of these innovation projects are carried out by the national armed forces, in other countries of the world. the militias have their own investigation department, and we do too, but it works hand in hand with the private sector.

My wife got a job that requires us to relocate to San Diego. We have never lived there and know little about the city. We are planning to rent. We stayed in a hotel in little Italy and really loved the vibe there, but it’s too expensive for us. Are there other neighborhoods with similar vibes - restaurants, bars, lively, good for walking, clean, safe, young, diverse and accessible that are more affordable? Please share recommendations. How much should we reasonably budget to rent a 2bd/2bath?

For expert witnesses/lawyers

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

Looking for advice:
My dept has 2 directors. One is so rude. The other ignores the issue. The previous HR director told me to report any issues because she was building a case (not appropriate info to share, I know). She's since left and there's a new HR director. This rude guy has recently sent me several very rude things through email and I'm debating how to handle it. Is it worth it to talk to HR? Im worried it'll just make things worse since none of it is "wrong", just rude and insensitive.

Anyone know of a great freelance sales person in the F&B trade space?
