Same. Also getting better projects. I volunteered for extra work on top of my crazy brand and they never gave me work. They would complain they didn’t have enough people but I’d ask to join projects and would get no feedback.
Unfortunately, movement to a new title has been difficult. I’ve noticed my white and male counterparts have been promoted to manager title whereas i was “promoted” to a coordinator role despite experience.
I’m struggling with this as well. Should I use the internal job posting or look for another gig. I’m watching younger folks, and nepotism babies get a head.
I have been subjected to abusive treatment by colleagues for an extended period of time; the HR team was well-aware and did not address the racial bias and inappropriate commentary head on. The revolving door of staff is not a viable bandaid and new hires are tone deaf to the trauma and damage that I and existing staff experienced. Needless to say, in 2021 we are no closer to any sense of equality or inclusion.
