What have people been able to take with them as prep for a job / guides along the way? Like if you’re taking a role leading growth strategy, are you able to ask the firm for a couple playbooks you think will help you be successful? (Obviously you can’t just download a bunch of KNOW docs and take them - talking about asking for stuff that prepares you for the role you take)

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?

The other day I was traveling in path train and a desi random dude came and sat next to me. He was smelling so bad that the lady next to her had to get up while making a face. I’m in an interesting dilemma. Very interested in leaving my company, but I am also going through IVF. I know most new jobs require a year wait before you can go on maternity leave. Does anyone know a great company to work for that does not require this? Obviously, I’m getting a bit ahead of myself, but if this works, I don’t want to accept a job and not be paid for maternity leave because I am doing this solo. Appreciate all the help!

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can.
