7:30 - 3:30
Classes in my building start at 7:50 and end at 2:55.
Students: 7:53-2:20. Teachers: 7:48-2:25
Mandatory days: 180
I teach high school in Texas; we must arrive by 7:15 am (classes begin at 7:30 am and we can depart at 3:30 pm (students are released at 3:15 pm)
That is a very long school day!
In Florida at a charter school. Currently we receive students starting at 8:30am. Classes begin at 8:45am. Our first group is dismissed at 3:20pm and the second group of students dismisses at 3:30pm. Teacher work hours are 8:00-4:00.
Teachers in my building are 8:30-3:30. Students are there 8:55-3:10. Although the doors open at 8:40 for students and sometimes the last bus doesn’t leave until 3:45
K-6 is 900 minutes 7-12 is 990.
We have a 4-day week, Tuesday-Friday. Teachers arrive around 7 a.m., students are in the building by 7:30 for breakfast and classes begin at 8 a.m. Classes are dismissed at 4 p.m. and all children are out by 4:30 p.m. Teachers leave around 4:45 to 5 p.m. Administrators are usually there until 5:30 p.m.
That is a long day. 😳

Reality 7:00 - 3:00
Teachers at school by 7:30 students 8:00-3:30
Staff, 8:20-3:30. Students, 9-3:20.
Staff- 8:30-4:02
Students- 8:50- 3:58
Elementary students: breakfast at 8:00, classes start at 8:30-3:30. Teachers are 7:45-3:45. Middle school and High school use the same buses - they are one hour earlier. Students: 7:30-2:30, teachers: 6:45-2:45.
8-3. Students begin 8:15-2:45
Start at 7:15 and ends at 3:15. Busses take until 4:00 to get all their routes loaded and on their way home, so we are there usually til 3:30. At that point we only have one bus to load with 12 of our students. Our Principal covers that.
7:20 - 3:20 for students it is 7:40 - 3 (MIddle & Elementary) Our High school starts and ends an hour later because our busses run 2 routes since they can't get enough drivers
