Yes.
Pros: great exposure to exec, you will learn about the business it’s strategy and operations inside out and know it better than most, you will be less busy than as a consultant, you can make decisions and see them through to execution
Cons: if you are a one man band, you will basically act an advisor, if you are part of an integration team you may fall into PM type role and get bored quickly, once you have done 2-3 integrations you will be very bored
Advice: clarify exactly what the role is, PMing each integration vs managing the portfolio and setting strategy and monitoring success/issues etc. Understand what the internal exit opportunities are for the role.

Yep I did. Definitely a different feel than PMI work in consulting (way less slides, thank god) but a lot more stakeholdering. WLB is great (even the Exec team doesn’t really answer email much after 8pm) and tons of visibility with Execs. Really happy with the decision I made. Happy to chat pros and cons
