What would you say is the minimum amount of full time experience that sets you apart from new grads? I ask because I got a job as a consultant but because my girlfriend is moving to another city I want to try to get a job there yet keep getting rejected at resume screen. The biggest knock on my resume is lack of experience, I was a premed so I basically did research in my summers rather than internships unfortunately. Just want to know how quick I can start applying again with some experience?

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap? I don’t have my side business listed on my resume because I don’t feel like I have enough positive “stats” to report yet given it’s new. Any advice or recommendations?

I’m in the biglaw hiring process through an outside recruiter. It’s so frustrating because he’s having these conversations with the firm and only paraphrasing the gist of them to me. He says he can’t forward the exact emails. Is that BS? Why can’t I see what the firm is telling my recruiter?

Those who do financial modeling at work: for case study in interviews, is it bad practice to submit a model based on a premade template, assuming that I understand all formulas and incorporate my own reasonable assumptions?
