I might be very lucky that I didn’t join Google before the summer as I’m not stressed about potential layoffs… but on the other hand i do feel unlucky to finally fulfill my dream and make it through the recruitment process, only to get stuck in the team-matching stage. And then the freeze.. how long can people stay on the list until they get hired? Or does your place on the list ever expire?Google

Seesaw is a digital portfolio tool.
A digital way to communicate
We love Seesaw! This year we used it K-8, but with the heaviest use being K-6, that is who will continue with it next year. We use the paid version, and at $5/student it is worth every penny!
I used Seesaw as a social media site for my classroom only. I teach a language and students got into groups of four and went on a virtual class trip. They had to post pictures with statements and the weather. Anybody in class can comment on it. It was fun
So if it’s used as a portfolio tool are the kids completing work on seesaw it does it just get uploaded on there?
You have a few options. The simplest one is to have kids take pictures of their work - be it final copies or in process work - and then add a reflection - typed or oral.
The other option is to create activities that kids do on Seesaw. These can be to create videos, or you can actually create digital worksheets (for lack of a better term) that kids interact with, and then reflect upon.
Once the teacher approves the post (if that feature is on) any parents connected to their child’s Seesaw account will be notified
