Has anyone ever had kids create their own Kahoot game? I’m looking to try it with my 8th graders. Let me know the good, the bad, and the ugly. Give me all of the information!

I have done it for 6-8. I have a rubric for Kahoot or Qizziz. I can share a copy with you if you would like.

My kids love Kahoot! It’s no trouble to sign up with their school emails and then share their computer to project their games & projects. My only bad experience is that I once had a student project that one of her answer choices was “deez nutz” and she claimed her older brother encouraged her to use it. She had a discipline log and I laughed inside, but was a bit mortified that I didn’t proofread her Kahoot with care.

I had my students create a quizizz. It actually scores it. I do like to see how they score and it gives the creator feedback as well.

I am using seesaw for my freshmen class. My students are going on a virtual fieldwork to a foreign city if their choice in the country of their target language. They are in groups of 3 to 4 and have to post the weather in target language because that is what we are studying right now. They also have to study daily where they go and what they see, selfies and they photo shop themselves into a picture . Project for 10 days. Post come to my box for approval. We watch daily where they are and what they do.

Seesaw is only accessible by the kids that you give the assignment code to. You can also combine the accounts for students in one group. I am excited and learning with my kids.

Wondering thoughts on buying right now. I feel like homes are overpriced and buyers are paying way more than the price on a bidding war. My thoughts are to sell my current home to make a ton of $$ in a sellers market. Rent something for a year or so until it becomes a buyers market and prices drop. Then buy a home for a lot less than I would have paid for it today. Does anyone have thoughts on this?
