I was interviewed at EY UK on 7th Sep. It was quite smooth. Since then I haven't heard anything back from them though interviewer claimed SLA to get back with outcome of interview is 48 hours. On portal it still says I'm in hiring team phase. It was level 1 interview.
Should I take this delay as rejection?

Not yet. Give it some space. Some people are of the mind that there is no use responding unless one has a meaningful response. It's super annoying but it is what it is. However, do not agonize over it in desperate waiting. Keep looking, just put a reminder on your calendar to follow up in another week and forget it in between. This stuff works best when you learn how to let go in between phases of the process or it will drive you crazy.
Lost cause dont bother
Recruiters don't get you the job, networking does.
Sometimes there is interest but the budget disappears or is put on hold. And most recruiters are infamously overworked and many are bad at follow up. Couldn’t hurt to reach out a couple of times to remind them you’re still interested.
I'm so sorry to hear that. Honestly don't know how they can do that and feel good about it.
Not a lost cause but definitely poor communication
I would keep bugging them. A surprising amount of recruiters are really bad at answering emails and reaching out even if they are still interested.
There’s a good chance it’s a lost cause, yes. Or delayed indefinitely. Move on for now.
