Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

Thank you!!

I know it’s not helpful now but never ever ever fly internationally when your passport is within 4-5 months of expiring. If she was trying to leave the US now she wouldn’t be allowed to board the flight.
I am not an expert but her mom can most likely get her a passport in the US and ship it if she can supply your friend’s personal information. Keep the same picture and basically “renew” it. But it’s a somewhat lengthy process until she’d have it in her hands

I got anxiety from reading this, I hope you get this figured out. I would think you should be able to but you’re running the risk of it being lost?

Check with the embassy again. Her mom should reach out to the State Department to make sure all the compliance is met. At this time it might be better to just cut the trip short and go back to the US.

Oh, wow. This is also stressing me out. I have no idea because I haven't personally experienced this. What I would do though is to go to the embassy office and ask for assistance.

Hi guys

This question may not be related. However I wanted to know from personal and family point of view how it is like to relocate from India and live abroad .
Let's say Family consists of husband , wife and a kid . I understand we will get good facilities, education, cleanliness , good air etc , however I wanted to check whether people gel up easily in the new environment? Don't they feel loneliness/ difficult to adjust? Do they look for similar asian nationalities to kill boredom?

Been having trouble moving on since girlfriend ended relationship 3 weeks ago after 2+ years of dating. Before ending it she came over 3 weeks prior to basically give me a chance to work things out and we had a good discussion but then I went back into our routine and didn’t really fight for it or have serious follow up convos that we needed. Now I just have so many regrets that I let her go. I know we still love each other and left on “good” terms but can’t forgive myself for my lack of action.

My wife and I just had our second child, and we have also been dealing with her cervical cancer diagnosis. It has been a stressful year, to say the least. I want to do something nice for her, but money is tight right now because of the cancer treatment costs, and her being on unpaid leave because of the cancer treatments. What is something low cost I can do that will be a nice “couples thing” so we can de-stress, but also make her feel special?

I am going through a divorce right now. I currently have a (my) family member stay with me to help take care of my children (until the divorce is finalized). My ex is oppose to my family member staying in the same house and decided to serve a notice to vacancy. However, I live in CA (community property state), and both of our names are on the title. Does my ex have any legal grounds to take such action to evict my visiting family member?

I can’t help it. Love me for who I am.

Am I tripping? Everyone loves calling my daughter (2 months) "lil chocolate drop" or "look at all that chocolate". I love my daughter's complexion, not only because it's mine, but because it's beautiful. However, I can't help but feeling like ppl "other" or make it weird by avoiding saying dark. Calling her dark is acceptable and appreciated. I know "chocolate" comes from a place of affection, but I just can't embrace it 💯.
