You know what? Two things that really worked for me were to stop multitasking. I pick one hard thing, finish it, then move on. It’s helped my work get sharper and cut down on errors. Second, I also started writing down what I don’t want to do each day, which helps me delegate or deprioritize faster. I can't do it all, even at home, so planning what others can do for me helped me A LOT.

I’ve heard this advice before, but I am so scared to take it. I have so much to do, it feels counterproductive cutting out multitasking

I'm embarrassed to admit how excited I am about this, but purchasing a robo vacuum a couple weeks ago has been a huge win for me. I have two longhaired dogs and their shedding is RIDICULOUS - I was vacuuming daily and it still felt like the house was perpetually covered in hair. Finally ordered a knockoff Roomba from Amazon a couple weeks ago and it's helped so much. I still have to use my regular vacuum here and there to get areas it can't reach, but that's only like once or twice a week. Feels great having one chore (mostly) taken off of my daily to-do list.

Okay but wait that is so valid. I wish we had more affordable robo cleaning options out there! Definitely a big help

My job has been unusually stressful lately for whatever reason and I usually am in a huge rush to clock out and get home, but lately I've been stopping at the park first, going for a 5 minute walk, then heading home. It's been a good buffer for me not to bring the stress home and a little me-time. The fam thinks I'm just headed home from work since it's a short walk, so I don't feel the need to explain to anyone that I just need a quick "regroup."

I like this approach. Making sure you’re taking care of yourself, but in a way that easily fits into your life.

Sounds silly but take each day as it comes. It’s totally okay to have a bit of an off day for no reason. It doesn’t need to mean anything deeper, sometimes it’s good to have a step back and give yourself time to have a break / rest from life!

Hi All, I'm looking for Product folks who'd be interested in chatting with me about their experience in Google, the products they work on, the journey into Google, what they look for while hiring, what kind of skills will be an asset. I am a Product Manager in a different company now, but joining Google is a long time goal, hoping to learn from your experience and align my learnings to be a solid candidate in the near future. Not applying now but planning the best way of getting there. Thanks!
