If you are on a billable project but happen to have a day we’re you aren’t asked to do much, do you still bill the 8 hours for being on call. Or do you only bill the 1–2 hours you work that day on client work? Less than 1 YOE. Curious on your thoughts on billing 8 hours a day even if you don’t necessarily work the whole time. Is this something you have done? I also under stand that billing less than what you work is not ideal, “eating hours.” But what about billing more than you “actually” work

My mother in law got scammed by a con artist from the UK online and lost $7K (damn you Facebook!)

Her status in the US is currently complicated and she doesn’t have a green card(tho she’s working on it), my wife(her daughter) is American.

I want to report this to the FBI’s elder fraud department but I don’t want to complicate her situation even more.

Does anyone know if criminal stuff like this and immigration related things are separated?

If I get fired while on OPT without getting my H1-B stamped, is it useless or can it be used in future for some other job?

Not sure if this is the right forum but - my H1B extension has been approved (just got to know today) but my driving license will expire soon. Can my license be renewed without the original extension petition? Or do I need to wait for the originals to come in. Trying to understand what do I need to carry to the DMV. Based in CA. Abandoning Green Card
Has anybody experience in giving up the LPR status after leaving the US for work and residency in another country/homecountry? I come from a low tax country and wonder whether Uncle Sam will send a final tax bill or penalty fee or even make it difficult/impossible for me to abandon the GC once I will leave the US again. This is crucial for me to apply for the GC.

Will we ever learn if our application was Denied because BAL made a mistake?
