Take what you can get!
Co-sign this! It's hard to get agency jobs right now so I would apply everywhere and take anything. You're under no obligation to stay for years and years, and I feel like anyone can survive any agency for like 2 years. That being said, I think FCB is a great place to start. The focus on strategy will be really helpful for you throughout your career
Any big name agency is good for new grad. I haven’t been able to hire a new grad in 3+ years. It’s tough out there right now. Take it!
That being said…. FCB has the worst reputation for pay I know of when it comes to the big agencies, even amongst low paying first time jobs (without the long lasting career boost that a Wieden would even with lower pay). So just like consider that
Try for the summer internship!
It’s def an experience
I wasn't a junior when I was there, so my opinion won't be 100% accurate to your question, but I do think a place like FCB is a great first stint if you're able to get it.
They will work you hard with long hours, but you'll learn the business quickly and establish contacts with people who can form a useful network for you in later years. If you put in 2-3 years there, you'll be a competitive candidate to go somewhere else, which will almost certainly be the right move.
There are smaller shops in town that might be more sane but won't have the same name recognition. Best of luck to you.
they had a fun holiday party! only good thing i can say 😤
It is a sweatshop. But agency jobs are rare. And entry level ones have hundreds of applicants. Take it if you can get it. Get it on your resume and move on. Use them as much as they will use you.
Good luck out there.
I have heard really good things about them from everyone I have known who has taken a role there. I would say in this job market take what you can get and then keep looking if you don't end up liking it.
Just had layoffs
It’s wild.
Assuming you wouldn’t recommend?
