What’s the WLB like at Chamberlain Hrdlicka transactional tax? How about tax controversy? How many hours a year are you expected to bill?

Lots of followers, no leaders. Hmm.

Depends on the office. Transactional practice is primarily in Houston and is strong. Controversy practice is generally good WLB all around. I believe the firm just lowered to 1850 hours across the board and the partners are great to work with. Flexibility to WFH is becoming more common but of course depends on the office and partners you work with. PM me if you have specific questions.

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD. I don’t think HR or government is for me anymore and looking to find something new, now 24 feel I have a lot of transferable skills and knowledge but worried about private companies in other professions taking me seriously. Grateful for any advice - thanks in advance!

I need some career advice. I finished my master's degree in international law (B.A.Sc international relations) but I am not sure where to go from here. I always wanted to join a big firm and I've applied to different vacancies in international firms/companies but got rejected from all of them.
Does anyone have any tips on certain job positions or companies where an LLM would prove to be useful with my background?
I'm starting to feel quite stuck in this situation and it's very demoralising.

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? I will make a little money interning in the summer, so that would be a safety valve if I blow through the 20k.

Or… should I take a small loan?
