Yeah. Odds are they’ll hire a mid, throw them a a senior salary of $100-$115k and an ACD title which they’ll be elated with…
Then bill the client at a legitimate $150-$180k ACD salary and pocket the difference as profit.
I'd take a sweatshop if I managed to make something decent at least.

If you saw ADWEEK yesterday, then you know you are not alone. I’m afraid much of what you are describing is endemic to our current industry. Chicago right now is tougher than many other markets. Client side is what I would recommend — although I know that making the jump is not easy. Whatever you decide, don’t just quit your current gig - a new one will be even harder to find if you don’t have a job. Hang in there…

Only a couple years ago, an agency I was at had a loosie tray. I think it was left over from a party, but was a fun bit of decor. Of course, it stayed forever because everyone vapes now.
