6 months gender blind big law paid

I previously worked at a firm that was four months paid, two additional months unpaid if you want, and you can come back part-time (80%).

like

15-20 attorney firm. LCOL area. 6-8 weeks depending on whether staff, associate or partner.

like

Fully paid. Allowed to take any additional unpaid leave.

Midsize firm. Up to 6 months but only first 12 weeks fully paid, the rest is unpaid. I only took the 12 weeks. No formal ramp up and ramp down period, but I noticed I was gradually assigned less work leading up to my leave, and I’ve been communicating with my (very understanding) supervisors about my capacity since I’ve been back.

like

Big law. 24 weeks fully paid for birthing mothers.

like

22-26 weeks for birthing parents

like

18 weeks fully paid for birthing, non-birthing and adopting parents. Additional weeks for disability (for how ever long your doctor says). You can add 6 weeks unpaid. Once you come back, you can choose to be on reduced hours for 3 months. (Big law, Vault 30+)

like

Midsize firm, NYC market. 12 weeks fully paid for birthing parent, less for non-birthing. I think it increases to 16 weeks if you’ve been there more than 5 years. No ramp up or ramp down. Private offices for attorneys so no pumping room but you have to use the communal fridge.
