Anyone's firm hiring in LA?
About to head to the HC for a role in ProdOps and Strategy in Mountain View. 4 YoE at MBB, no competing offers. Recruiter gave me a form that asks expected comp.
Levels.fyi has only PM salaries. I haven’t been told the level but expect it to be L4.
What total comp would you expect for this role? Any advice would be super helpful, as I’m a bit lost.

Any hot leads on Workers Compensation roles?
USI Insurance brokerage and consulting - thoughts? A recruiter reached out to me via linked in and I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this company. They seem to have decent reviews on Glassdoor but I was hoping to get more insight into workload and comp. Thanks in advance! USI

It puts me off to go through 3 or 4 rounds of interviews and realize we are nowhere remotely on the same planet in terms of pay. You need to make sure you are phrasing it right. Curious about salary ranges, or want to make sure we are aligned. Companies should be happy to do it, saves them a lot of time too.
OP, you’re not offending anyone, but you’re just not doing things in the order that they need to be done. In the screening interview, they may ask you what are you currently making? Do not tell them, you can ask what is the targeted salary band for this role? I always either get the band from glass door or off the posting itself. I record that in a spreadsheet. That way, I know what to expect.
Sometimes they ask you that question on applications, if that’s the case and it’s required field – notated by an*on the question – I don’t ever put a number I put open if that field will accept characters other than numbers.
Really? That's when I ask too. Didn't know I was potentially offending anyone by doing it. That seems silly to me, so I'm going to keep on asking before I get too far in the process. I don't want to waste their or my time if the range isn't in line with my expectations.
