I don't see insurance component in my CTC/offer letter is it separate thing we have to pay from our pockets ?
CONTRACTORS: I have a quickfire round of questions because I'm really trying to get back into setting good habits now that I'm consulting full-time again.
How do you typically go about preparing your day?
1) What's your process?
2) What are some MUSTs you prioritize each day to maintain your work-life balance, mental health, etc. (i.e., phones/email notifications off after X PM; no work on the weekends, etc)
3) Must haves/dos for productivity and time management?
Thanks in advance!
Hi all! I posted here a couple months ago right after getting laid off. It’s been almost 3 months of applying, and no luck. I am starting to get worn out, and I feel the imposter syndrome creeping in. I feel like I need to revamp my resume again. Anyone interested in looking at it? I am looking for operations, project management, or program management roles.
Job transition question: I recently accepted an offer for a new role with Merrill Lynch, the following day I was fired from my previous employer. I haven’t filled out the updated work history background check info yet. The reason for termination was due to performance expectations not being met. Should I reach out to my new employer and let them know that I’ve been terminated? Should I just put the termination update on the background check form and leave it at that? Wondering what I should do.
I’m looking for an IT Project Manager; 5+ years healthcare experience required. SCRUM teams experience, salary around $100k.
Thoughts on Kombucha? Are there real benefits to drinking it? Also, I’d like to hear if anyone has seen any changes in their health after drinking it overtime.
Can't believe those pics yesterday of healthcare workers having to block protestors. This one in particular looked right out of a Romero flick.
Aside from short term emergency declarations where visas are handed out, has anyone found any countries that provide a visa due to a skill shortage, or carriers that offer sponsorship for senior insurance professionals? Curious mostly about Europe and Oceania.
Started with a new company about 3 months ago, and I really like the position and the team, but the company just had a pretty big round of layoffs, and I’m concerned it won’t be the end of it...
I just joined the bank and was wondering what the deal with the Health Care savings account is. It looks like a flex account rather than an HSA?
I have dual masters degree and I am thinking towards MSCIS for 7 more classes. I am not sure if computer science will be helpful towards healthcare sector. I do not want to be more in debt but I am debating to get started atleast part time.
Here’s an out of the box question: How do you get out of the insurance industry? I’ve heard that the longer you stay in, the harder it is to get out. Are there any other industries I can transition to?
I also have so many other interests like yoga, art, nutrition, real estate investing… I’m 25 and would ultimately like to be my own boss at some point.
I’m a SaaS AE with 4 years of sales and sales recruiting experience. I’m revamping my resume and sadly due to 2 startup layoffs in the last 15 months I’ve had 3 roles.
How many job experiences on your resume is too many? How far back should I go to share my professional experience?
Any advice is appreciated!

Hi I have 2.7 YOE as SAP SD TECHNO-FUNCTIONAL CONSULTANT .. looking for new opportunities
Hey ladies! I started a new role back in September, fresh out of college. In this role I often have to communicate with acct managers + I’ve noticed that they often question/screen me before letting me to do my job. I’ve asked around + others that I started with don’t experience this. I wonder if my “black name” is apart of this. I have always loved my name and displayed it but lately I’ve been wondering if it’s hindering me? For ref, my name is common for blk women but spelled differently.

Has anyone successfully negotiated a title? I was looking for Senior Manager positions but applied for some Mgr positions too. I’m up for promo next year at my current job as well. The current industry offer meets my comp expectation but planning to see if they would bring me in as a senior manager. There isn’t a set hierarchy for the team as of right now as they are building the team and I’d be reporting to a senior executive. Any talking points/tips that might help me negotiate?
I have 10+ Year experience. My expertise are Java, Springboot, Micro-service, docker and kubernates. What salary I should expect in EXFO Company as Principal Software.

Do people judge other people who look at their LinkedIn? I have to use it a lot for business reasons (clients, international contacts, stuff like that) and I’ve never cared enough because if anyone ever asked me the question ever came up I have a reason I had to view it, but just curious whether I’m being silently judged

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

Do any carriers in Europe pay salaries equal to their American counterparts? I’ve found that the salary for my role is pretty much halved across the Atlantic.
I know that my company, Chubb, does and from time to time they have rotational programs where not only do you maintain your US salary but you also get COLA and a housing allowance, unfortunately nothing right now nor permanent.
Another option would be insurance companies that pay your American salary while working abroad.

My dream company just gave me an offer of 8k less than current. I have another offer of 5k more at a company in Philly with killer benefits and training is great. My SO got an offer for 5k less here and 6k more in Philly. She feels the same about both.
What would you do? All offers are best and final
I've been at my current company for 15 years and 17 in the insurance industry. I'm struggling to even get a callback to interview. In a year, I've had one callback. I've sought out input on my resume from folks at the Executive level and there aren't any red flags. Am I just too entrenched and the long tenure scares employers or what?
