Depends on the project really. Never do weekend work on low visibility projects, it’s not worth the struggle. If it’s a chicken shit gig like a social post or email or banners, it can wait until Monday. If it’s something I’m passionate about or will boost my agency political standing like a big shoot or pitch, then yeah weekend work is fine. But just make sure it’s worth losing your weekend over.

Nope, weekends are for me, my family, and my side business. I told my company during the interview that I'm not open to being available on weekends or in the evenings. Work-life balance is really important to me.

Make boundaries— so you balance the work needs but still preserve time for yourself
When I first started my career yeah I was always available. I said yes to every project I was horrible at boundaries but after about 8 to 10 years in this industry and we taking advantage of, I’ve learned that making myself available and giving up my weekends just doesn’t pay off so now I have firm our boundaries in place.
I will if it's a rare thing. If it's happening every weekend, absolutely not. You need to have work life balance. There is no reason to run yourself into the ground for a company. If they can't figure out how to get work done during the week, that's their problem, not yours.
