Yeah, compare childhood memories and see if the memories match bc ppl remember events differently. Could be fun
I spy with my little eye, something that begins with the letter "A" ...
We went through all these topics suggested above. Our childhood memories don't align all the time. She has the perception that I wasn't the best big sis and me being forgetful, just don't remember things she does/how things happened. Just leads to heated discussions and makes me regret bringing up the topic. I know she's a good woman but we r just different and just don't approach things the same way. Her perception of me is very different than what I see and vice versa.
P3 😂 don't start
MC1- I am so sorry to hear that. I am trying really hard to not cut ties. The way I see it, family is family and I want to try and make things work with my immediate family. Have drastically different pov on several topics but either I try to avoid it or just move past it I guess. I don't want to get to a stage where I have to cut ties. I also have a feeling in my heart that my sister and brother are trying the same. Just don't know why it's so hard. 😔

Tell stories of when you were kids
I think I just need a break. Was around family this whole week (as most of you probably) and as great as it is, it's just a bit overwhelming. I resort to playing with my phone to distract myself when bored and she finds it to be like the most disrespectful thing ever and God forbid I do that around her. Just little things like that.

@OP, my siblings and I also have the same issue! Memories don't match! And I was horrible to them and I thought I did the best I could! We don't talk any longer.

Respect and acknowledge how they feel, if they feel you did something hurtful then say you didn't realize that and ur sorry they felt that way. U obv didn't mean it but saying it helps. The only thing they want to know is that you care about them

@OP, I hope it doesn't come to that for you. I just got tired of game playing, particularly bc I'm a direct but considerate person (according to all my friends) who doesn't like to be disrespected for no reason. All the best to you!
Thanks MC1. This whole day was spent silently and some times, very loudly, fighting over shit. For no reason. I can't say I am not at fault at some of the times but sometimes it just feels too much. I am tired of feeling like a shitty sibling all the time. And I don't appreciate having terrible disagreements one minute and pretending like everything is hunky dory the next minute. And apparently that means "I hold grudges". I can't just tell her to fuck off bc my mom is the room and she feels very helpless and sad when she's in the middle of it. With losing my dad, I just don't want to put undue pressure on her but at the same time, there's only so much I can take myself.
