My wife and me just moved to NYC (from Chile). We are trying to find her a Job in NYC, but its been hard through LinkedIn. Do you know any other ways we could try to get at least interviews? She is trying to join a business develop. team, ideally in energy, but obviously opened for other industries as well. She's 5 years of exp. w/ background of M&A in EY and Business development in Energy.

Wondering if anyone can share the approximate timeline after applying to Target Corp. to hearing something from them. Applied 9/1 and on the applicant portal the status still says “in progress.” I got a great internal referral, but I’ve not reached out to the hiring manager. 😬 I know there were a few hundred applicants — what’s a realistic timeline and what could I say to the hiring manager if I reach out to them. I have submitted the documents for LTI..before an formal HR call one lady HR called me and ask for expected CTC..i have one offer in hand and i demand 20% of that offer as fixed..she asked me to negotiate and so i went for 20% of offer as total CTC instead of fixed..she simply said OK thats it..and call ended..will I get positive note from them....?

Right now I have these cheap mirrors in my apartment where the image is distorted to make me look taller and skinnier.
