The department I worked in, the conversation was nothing but how fun exercise is, it was exhausting
Let me know when you find them. I've been looking for that too! People look at me strangely when I say I like to hike in the rain. Off topic - but how do you like working at Nike? I've applied many times to jobs I'm well-qualified for, but I can't get an interview and I'm wondering if it's worth the continued effort!
Nike is a large company and it is very personality driven so experiences will very. If you have a skill that is specific to their core footwear design possibly, otherwise I wouldn't say it isn't any better than any other company. Smart coworkers, but people avoid conflict with a passion. They are good with time off but that just means you are often doing two jobs. Moving away from assigned desks, to open, come early if you want 4' of desktop in an open area. Conference rooms are few and technology often doesn't work.

Being a bike person did you try Chris King or Vanilla Bikes located here? Not sure how well they pay but you could stay in Portland.

As an ex Nike employee, yes there are a lot of people who are active but it’s a bit weird because it can feel intimidating to talk to them especially when you’re on the main campus, but there’s slack channels for outside-of-groups that meet up to do pickup basketball, flag football, soccer, golf, and disc golf, I’m sure there’s climbers and mountain bikers and whatever else you like to do.
