They know they can manipulate him and get what they want, which is essentially the thwarting of any regulations. And, in some cases, like Apple, exemptions from the tariffs he bizarrely thinks are a good idea. I can't imagine any of these people have the least respect for him, but they'll put on a public show of obeisance to get what they want. And in the end he'll be calling them all ridiculous names.
Money. They're going to do whatever they have to to avoid falling out of his favor and paying heavily for it.
Because money.
Bc first and foremost they are businessmen. You need to get along with whoever has the power. And who’s to say they even hated him? They followed the last administration that had power.
And Bezos is pro immigration and dreamers since his adoptive dad was immigrant from Cuba. I remember him speaking against Trump and promoting and congratulating Biden 4 years ago. I believe he posted it on his social media account. Was stunned to see him in the front row on Monday.

These people control wealth that is larger than most nations on Earth. They run the country and not the reverse. Most politicians have taken their money. Trump campaign got 1.5 Billion dollars (Kamala $2 Billion). Peter Thiel bankrolled Vance and made him a public figure. Trump isn't free to do whatever he wants and that money buys government contracts, deregulation, and more. Jeff Bezos lost a government contract last time and this time around he pulled Washington Post editorals against Trump. It's a quid pro quo and nothing more.

To push for legislation that would benefit their businesses and personal income.

To quote the great Randy Moss : “Straight cash, homey”. All of the charade about being anti-Trump was purely for show, plain and simple. Whoever controls the purse strings, you work with them.
Musk had a "Come to Jesus" moment when he saw Trump shot. The rest are just going with whatever is popular.
They will change with the seasons.
The money he promised them
At the end of the day everything is politics. If they think things he is going to do will benefit them, then of course they are suddenly his very best friends. In my opinion it is weak and fake but it is what it is.
My jaded answer says it's solidly about lining pockets.
However, there could be other non-financial motivations: primarily power.
