Hi, Ben Analyst with 2.5 YOE. Anyone here graduate with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies? Has that held you back in your career and what degree or cert did you obtain when furthering your career? I am looking to grow in benefits and I've reviewed CEBs, PHR and was interested in obtaining my MA, in HRM? Feedback?
So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?
What are your experiences on accepting an offer for a sales position, and before the start date of that role one is given a better offer elsewhere, to which one accepts and begin at that job? Curious, and wondering if today’s hiring market factors into the answer?
Can someone walk me through how my options work? On 6/1, my options will vest (my one year anniversary date). I want to give notice to leave the company. I will wait till after 6/1. Any reason I can't tell them on 6/2? Should I exercise the options before I leave?
Percentage-wise, is there a higher percentage in getting more likely hired by an organization when an inhouse direct hire recruiter versus a third party recruiter is arranging the interview process? Are the chances with an in-house direct hire recruiter much much better therefore that building more repertoire with them versus third party recruiters hold more weight in landing the role?
Also, organizations would also be saving money through their own in-house recruiter I presume?

Dilemma on my hands: I have an employee who put in their resignation letter on Wednesday. Management did not take and it well and was ready to dismiss said employee the following day (Thursday). Then management decided we were too busy to letthem go on Thursday so decided to do it today (Friday). I work in tech sales selling a software development tool. I work with a lot of partners who help my customers use the tool to build apps and websites. I’m starting a new sales job in cyber security (old and new companies don’t compete). I was approached by a partner of my old company to advise for them part time (5 hours a week). I plan to commit 100% to my new job but would like to try the advising thing for a month, part time. Does anyone else do something similar? FTE + consult on the side?
Feel like I’ve fallen out of love with sales. Love talking with people / presenting. Have been in my new role for a month, was promised a team to generate leads and all I do is cold call all day. Feel out of depth in terms of the knowledge I have. Can’t tell it’s imposter syndrome or need a new career change. Any advice? Feeling lost

I know we are all on edge rn- how could we not be? but I’ve had it with how rude and inhumane people are being to each other right now. I’m just trying to help. Why can’t we all be more flexible? (like their expected delivery date lmao)

Hi I recently accepted an offer. The HR manager asked me if I was vaccinated I said no. So she sent me a form to sign for “religious beliefs”. I choose not to be vaccinated. Any ideas on what I should write on the form or explain myself.
