Why do companies still reward visibility more than actual results? I work with people who spend half their time announcing what they’re going to do and the other half celebrating it, even when the work is mid. Meanwhile, the quiet people who get stuff done without drama are completely overlooked. I don’t want to turn every task into a performance, but I’m starting to wonder if I have to.
