First, you need a better job. I am sorry to hear about your challenges.

As Dave would say, "You need a bigger shovel"

Sorry to hear that. I’d agree with the “need a bigger shovel” analogy. $300 for housing is a good price for the income, but the goal should be to balance income to skill and lifestyle for long term investing. Divorce shouldn’t take everything, but it is a setback.

Goals should include maximizing income. What’s the healthcare field and trajectory? Healthcare is a very broad field. Whoa opptys exist with your path to increase income?

Health care system is taking off lots of benefits that we used to have. Salary don’t go up much for what I do.

I'm just concerned with the political turmoil going on and trying to figure out what ETFs I should be investing in and how much I should be putting in every week.

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.
