Women in Accounting: I made a career pivot a few years ago from non-profit fundraising to accounting in hopes of making a livable wage and to build a career trajectory. My question to the accounting community is it unrealistic to think my managers would take the time to mentor me to help build my skillset? So far it hasn't happened and rather I've been told stay in your lane when I've brought up improvements to antiquated processes or suggested efficient methods. I don't want their jobs!

I know this is an old post, hopefully, you are doing well. I wanted to ask you why you quite fundraising and were you good at it? What made you good at fundraising? I want to get into fundraising but I don't seem to have the right info on how to do it well. Any advice would be great and I'd really love to know how much you made the nonprofit per year!

Is the CPA designation worth it? For me it would take me 1 year of PREP courses and 2 years of PEP until i can write the CFE. And I am 27 years old right now. Also wondering if it would be crazy to pursue the CPA while learning how to code to be a developer as well?

This post is an alert message for anyone joining the Johnson & Johnson EMEA account for SAP & had Rakesh Sharma for their Manager round.

He is nothing less than a con man & will promise you a lot to make you join the account. After that he will put you in testing projects. If you ask for a release, he will either not release you or release with a very bad rating and influence other project managers to not take you into their projects.

You will be left with no choice other than leaving TCS.

Looking to purchase a 2019 Genesis G70 for 35k. Applied for Auto finance and got it approved from DCU at 4.5%.

I know the rates have increased recently but I think this is still high.

Any suggestions where I could get better rates with a good credit score and history?

Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.
