I was working at my job as a cashier and a woman came up to me with a few items. She said she didn't have enough money to pay for them all, so the person behind her told her to just pick one thing and he would pay for the rest. She picked the most expensive item in the cart and he paid for it without thinking twice. It made me happy to know that there are still good people in the world.

When I used to work at a call center, the majority of the calls we got were people basically insulting us for trying to do our jobs. I had been there for a few months only because I needed the money, and I remember one day, an old lady called to ask for support with one of her bills. I was in charge of the call and she said she noticed something odd in my tone of voice, that I sounded tired. She proceeded to tell me about her day and how stressful it had been as well, and in the moment I think I just related to her, because I still remember this fondly.
