Nope. I don’t even straighten for court or trial. Life is hard enough without having to spend extra time straightening my hair. If it dries poorly, I’ll pin it back and do half up/half down.
This. I’m proud of my hair.
Nope. I was encouraged to do so in law school because it was “distracting” but this is me and this is the hair that grows from my head 🤷🏽♀️

Ugh, yeah, unfortunately the call frequently comes from inside the house! I hope we can change that as our numbers in the field increase!
I find that when I think my hair is messy, I get more compliments. Odd but I accept it!
As a girly whose hair is naturally straight and can barely hold a curl, please don’t straighten your hair. I’m sure the curls still look gorgeous 😍
No. I use a good Shampoo and deep conditioner. I fluctuate between 3 sets of products because curly hair builds a tolerance! Treluxe, ouidad, and lus. It helps with frizz and drying.

Thank you! I’ve used Ouidad for years, so maybe I’ve built up a tolerance, I’ll check out the other products you’ve mentioned!
Only for jury trials. Juries have a tendency to judge you and not the case
I put my hair in a bun 99% of the time. I’m 2a/2b wavy and even with product most of the time it’s just frizzy if I don’t put it up or straighten it.
Nope
Does anyone use a shower head filter? I want one because my curls are looking sad, but I don’t know which are good and which are a scam. Recs would be welcomed. And OP, we should embrace our texture!
AquaBliss!
Never straighten it.
I have curly hair and straighten it out of personal preference, but definitely do not do it just for work appearances. Your hair sounds amazing!! If I do go natural I sometimes pull it back in a tiny clip to try to tame the frizz (there is a lot of frizz) but still leave my curls down.
I have kinky/curly hair. Type 4 but it’s been closer to type 3 after pregnancy. I wear it straight in the winter. But, I’ve always done that even prior to being an attorney. And I wear it in its natural state or in long twists with added hair the rest of the year. My hair was straight from November until earlier this week. Rn I’m wearing my hair out in a twist out with a cloth head band.
Also I will style my natural hair into a low bun sometimes with lots of gel and conditioner to slick it back
Nope. Curly all the way.
I used to but I don't have time for that now (we are already short on time as woman, getting ready takes us much longer to begin with) and have learned to just embrace it. If I really don't want it to be a "distraction," I just do a bun or claw clip.
Nope - Curly bob/shag since I started (8 years ago). I chose a hair style/cut that would look decent, even if it was a little rough or frizzy. I also am a bit religious on my hair rountine. Straight hair is too much work for me so I tried to simplify but finding a style that allowed me to go with the flow. Happy to chat routines and how to make it work, if helpful!
