Work from home: Any recommendations for a standing desk? I will be placing two large monitors & two laptops on it so I need lots of space. I hear they can get a bit wobbly the higher you raise them, but I’m all of 5’2 so... Also need recs for a supportive office chair too.

Can anyone share their WFH setup so I can get some inspiration on what I can/should do? Any tips are helpful. Our department will likely be moving to WFH permanently in the coming weeks/months.

Is it awkward to bring up the possibility of annual merit raise (usually done at end of year) with my boss now? It seems the job market is cooling a bit and I might lose some leverage if I wait longer to bring this up, in case the economy turns for the worse. I was just informed after the third round of interviews they’d like at least 5 references, two must be supervisors. My last job was a temporary remote job where I didn’t really interact with my supervisor and the jobs before that were at my family’s business (I do not speak to any of them for serious personal reasons.) What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. HR discussion yet to happen.. In the meanwhile got another interview scheduled tomorrow frm TCS whose talent acquisition person told its a pan india location and any location can be provided...

I’ve made it 5+ years in a NY M&A practice and have consistent exceeding expectations reviews. I’ve had a few mental breakdowns because of work during this time, but thankfully made it through. I’ve been in a near constant depressive/anxious state for family reasons for the last year and half, and am soon having my first kid.
