Would love to hear everyone’s plans for holidays / how you are planning on taking your PTO this year!
Personally, my boyfriend and I are going to Vietnam in May, and I may also go skiing in France this month too! Can’t wait :D

Oh man, I love both Vietnam and France for very different reasons! Both are incredibly beautiful places and I think they will be exceptional holidays for you. My mom and I are doing a backpacking trip through Europe this May. Just for a week and a half but it should be a lot of fun. And then we're going on a Caribbean cruise later in the year.

Wow that sounds amazing! Have the best time

i’m hoping to do a roadtrip of the west coast this year

My dream to do a road trip! Have fun :)

Awesome! That's going to be a blast. I'm planning a trip to Petra this year. I really want to hit all the wonders of the world. Loved Machu Picchu, so I know I'm going to love Petra too.

Ahh that’s so wholesome, have the best time

Sounds fun!

Thanks so much! I can’t wait

Idk what I’m going to do but my goal is to use it sooner in the year!

Hi all - any advice for a first time real estate investor looking to make their first purchase at the end of 2021.

I plan on saving $50K, for a $350-400K property in the Long Island, NY area for my first property. Does this sound reasonable? And does anyone have any experience & advice investing in the LI area?

Id like to rent it out for some positive cash flow that I can then start using to save for my 2nd property (sounds easy when I type it).

Thanks all for your input - stay safe!

Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

Is there such things as FP&A positions in Big 4? If so, are there better times to make the change than others (I.e. at senior vs manager)? I’m currently in FP&A and looking to work at a Big 4, or another company that offers the ability to move abroad. My current company and many others I know about do not offer the mobility to do so until much later, which is not what I want. Thank you.
