i could understand if this was everyone’s experience at the firm, but there are plenty of new seniors and new managers that have decent staffing despite having less tenure, which feels like a real kick in the teeth.
part of me wonders if i’m just being a brat, but i’m just so demoralized i don’t think i can work here anymore
Did you talk to your career counselor and explain the situation? If not, do that first and understand the real picture…if you sense something unusual, start updating resume and applying before its too late..on the other hand, if they consider you like a valuable contributor to the firm then make sure u take all deserved compensation credit either through performance review process or one on one discussions so yr efforts are well recognized and rewarded besides getting documented..
That’s tough! Onus is on you to decide whether u would want to continue with this and burnt out or find something that suits yr needs
You could switch firms. It’s a compelling reason to leave.
